Well done to Clonard GAA club who hosted School Participation Day Absolutely brilliant two days of fun activities at Clonard pitch. We had over one thousand kids take part from both our local schools Scoil Mhuire and Kennedy Park. A big thank you to all the volunteer coaches, and all the teacher who brought the kids over to the pitch.well done all. Hope all the kids enjoyed the day out and we will see you all at training and our Summer Camp. Our u10’s footballers played St Fintans on Wednesday evening 15th June in Ballymore and  St Josephs on Friday evening 17th June last and on both evening putting in great performance’s well done boy’s and girl’s.

We were hosts of St. Marys, Maudlintown in the Under 12’s football Championship, Tuesday 14 June. Our boys and a lassie played out of their skins throughout the hour, but we were beaten on the post. In goal we had Adam, the backs were Kian, Darragh 1, Clinton, Danial, Leon, Midfield the Dynamo, Ryan, and Darragh 2. In the forwards, we had Telfic, Nicky, Barry, James, Rory and Jody.

The start of the match was delayed by 10 minutes, not by the crowds, we had a problem with the netting of one of our goals, with brevity, somebody started to sing the Fishermans Blues, but not as good as Mike Scott.

The first five minutes Clonard won every ball from midfield, Ryan, who was dictating the play as he has the skill, left or right foot, size and speed. The Marys boys tried to prevent our dominance in that area they put two players to mark Ryan, but of no avail. The selectors of the opposition even shook hands with Ryan, which was very sporting indeed, as both teams line up to shake hands. Clinton was very good too as were Leon, Rory and Jody.

Captain of the next match is Ryan, which will be v Rathgarogue/Cushinstown, iomaint.
