On Tuesday last 26th July our Under 12 Hurlers went on a trek to Bree, nobody got lost, this time. The Ballyhogue boys were very good, and they got the points. Our guys  fought until the final whistle. Our Captain, Clinton and Ryan who repelled every attack on the Clonard goal, Adam after his trip to Austria, was candidate of the man of the match, as was Leon when we counted that he blocked or hooked 6 times in this match. James was very good as was Jody, Taofik, Darragh, Nicky who from now on will be our corner back. Kian was brilliant when he played full back and in the final third we played him in the goal, he was like Mark Fanning. Keep the heads up lads we will be entering into the final stages of the championship, so training continues. We will have a full squad for training as Barry will be back after his broken fingers episode. No match next week as we have a bye, lucky as we have our camp starting on 2nd August.

Our U10s travelled to Clongeen on Friday evening last for their next round of hurling. Stars of this game included Adam who ran at the defence throughout and Josh who saved some pile drivers in the goal. A fluent move out of defence supplied a wonderful goal finished to the net by Cillian. A good run out overall before their next outing the following week in football. Well done to all the players and parents involved.

Our club Summer Camp kicked off on Tuesday, 2nd August with over 107 children participating in the fun and games. Everyone had a great  time. The club would like to thank everyone who help out over the week. Congratulations to the Clonard Ladies Football Club on being awarded €1000 in the Lidl Store Club Competition. Well Done to everyone who helped to make this possible and also Well Done to the Clonard Ladies on playing their part in a Guinness World Record attempt. Clonard Abu.
