Clonard u10s played two games against St Joseph’s in Clonard’s home pitch in Coolcotts last Friday the 17th. Clonard had 21 players representing the club without the luxury of substitutes with every player needed in the two games. While there is no doubt the football only St Joseph’s club are strong at this age grade the Clonard blues were competitive and honest in their efforts with a see-saw pattern in both games in terms of which team was dominant. The Clonard coaches also had an opportunity to identify where they need to work with their players in only their second football game of the season. While the next game out is hurling this coming Friday for the Clonard Óg buachaillí training on Tuesday will continue our efforts.
