Clonard U10s played OLI/St Fintan’s in tightly contested hurling game this morning in difficult conditions. The forty minutes of hurling was played in Our Lady’s Island with 13 players representing Clonard (and at times OLI/St Fintan’s). This was a very competitive game with Rory and Darragh giving fine midfield performances. Eoin, Troy, Adam and Shannon were working hard in the forwards – players who are all new to the U10 grade. In defence John, Cormac G, Cormac D and Ryan were committed and disciplined. Josh, Luke and John all took turns in goals (and in strengthening the defence) delivering some fine ball out into midfield. While much work needs to be done between now and the end of the summer, training Tuesday and a home game Friday vs Kilmire will keep the team developing. Clonard Abú.
