The Clonard 10s were back in action on Friday night in a hurling fixture vs Taghmon/Camross played in Coolcotts. With twenty-one blues in attendance two games were played against the opposition. Clonard óg played well in both their games. In one game it was an eight versus eight match up with good Clonard play in all three thirds of the game with some excellent team play evident in the final third – including a fine goal by John Dwyer in the forwards. In the other game it was a ten versus ten match up with strong performances by the little blues. While players rotated their positions in this game Shannon, James and Conor ran the midfield with Cormac, Orlaith and Mikey strong in defence, Ella Jenna and Cormac eile did the running up front, while Troy played in a number of positions showing some nice clean strikes. Congratulations to Jonathon playing his first game for the club. Also a welcome back to Crann who was back in action after his holidays – Clonard uber alles. The 10s are back in action in training on Tuesday and in a football blitz on Friday evening next in Rosslare.
