St. Marys Rosslare GAA hosted the first ever Kevin Roche U10 Football Memorial Tournament on Friday night in their excellent facilities in Tagoat. Our club was generously invited and willing accepted the invitation to attend playing four games against St Mary’s Rosslare, Kilmore, OLI/St. Fintans and Barntown. Each club entered two teams of ten thus in each game of 18 minutes a club played one of their 10-a-side teams in the first half and their other 10-a-side team in the second half.

The Clonard 10s were excellent on the night demonstrating their skills and their determination in each of the four games. It was excellent to see the players show their potential against some fine opposition. It is not possible to mention all the individual contributions from players that made up these fine team performances but each player knows the contribution they made on the night. Thanks is due to all the U10 blues who are still just starting out their journey with the club and still learning the skills of the game. I would ask all parents to give the time and encouragement to their child in developing these skills to build on our successes as team and club this year.

A sincere thanks on behalf of Clonard GAA club to St Mary’s of Rosslare for the invite to the Kevin Roche U10 Football Memorial Tournament. We would congratulate the club on an excellent evenings football for the players and the generous hospitality and welcome to parents and mentors. it was a well organised and positive experience for the players and parents of our GAA club.
