Clonard 10s played Kilmore for the third time this season – the second time in football – in Coolcotts on Friday night. Like all encounters with Kilmore this was a good test for the blues. On the night Clonard brought a strong panel lining out an eleven a-side team with players rotated in and out. While it was a rocky start for Clonard óg, they settled and gave a very good account of themselves, with the match swinging in the blues favour towards the end. With only one game played on the night, players not fielded took part in a competitive training match to ensure their continued development. A sincere thanks to all the players for their efforts – those starting out with us and the veterans of U10 – and to the parents for their support. The 10s have a hurling blitz upcoming as well as potentially a game the week after. Clonard Abú.
